The child's story:
Name: Eva
Age: 9 years
Status: -
The names are fictional, but the ages are approximate. For the protection of the children and confidentiality, we do not include photos.

She lives and studies in Brusylov.
Eva's parents are not officially married and unemployed, and the girl's father has also been prosecuted for robbery. The family has no permanent source of income. The money that the father earns from temporary, unofficial part-time jobs is often spent on alcohol. In late 2021, this family turned to the day center for help on the advice of social services. At the time of our acquaintance, the house where the family lives had no gas or water supply, and the house itself needed repair. With the help of the day care center, it was possible to restore the gas supply to their house. An oven, bedding, children's clothes, and shoes were also purchased for the family, and firewood was bought. The family was given money for the children's treatment. After the start of hostilities, the family receives food kits, diapers, and household chemicals on a permanent basis throughout the year.

We got to know Eva better in November 2022, thanks to the project. Since then, she and her sister have been attending the day care center and actively participating in all the proposed activities. Eva visits a charity canteen, works on a tablet and an interactive floor, does homework with a teacher, and makes various crafts. Eva is characterized by modesty and friendliness, although she used to be silent and a little withdrawn. She enjoys coming to the center, where she can fulfill her communication needs, "see another life," gain positive experience, and acquire new knowledge.
During the time spent at the day care center, we have had many conversations with Eva and her family, providing a lot of in-kind help and consultations. With the help of caring people, we managed to purchase chairs and a desk for the child. Thanks to "Save Ukraine," Eva received a wonderful Christmas present. The child's mother is in contact and cooperates, but the father does not plan to change his lifestyle and does not accept our advice. Unfortunately, this family is currently in a difficult situation.
