Mrs Lydia is 93 years old. For a long time, she had been in Kramatorsk on her own, in an abandoned apartment where her russian relatives left her.
When she was 12 years old, german nazis took her carefree childhood. Today, her carefree old age is being taken away by russians.
“Kill me, please. I don’t want to live.” - those were the words with which she greeted our volunteers who were persuading her to evacuate. After what she went through, it was very hard to believe in salvation.
Today, miss Lydia is safe, under adequate supervision, and has a new chance for a calm life.
