How important is it to talk about bullying and other existential issues with our teenagers?

We are sure that it is not only important, but critically necessary. Especially for Ukrainian children, who experience the extremely stressful events of the war with all their psychological consequences every day.

That is why the Save Ukraine team started discussing current problems and challenges in teenage life with children who were illegally deported by the russians from the occupied territories and whom we managed to bring back home.

Such discussions are a kind of therapy for young Ukrainians. Here they can express their opinions, share their feelings and learn from our specialists about those things that will help them cope with many difficulties.

The first meeting at our "Recovery Hope" center turned out to be very emotional and sincere! We discussed the issues of bullying in everyday life, defensive reactions to bullying against oneself or others, and possible ways out of the situation.

In the second half of the discussion, we played with the children in exciting "questions and answers" with cards and concluded the meeting with a quiz with gifts and a game of table football.

Despite the seriousness of the topic, the children felt at ease, were active and showed great interest. Together we managed to create a trusting and warm atmosphere.

We will definitely continue to share with you news about our discussions with the children and the success of their recovery.
