From the beginning of the war, the girls and their families lived in the basement, very afraid of explosions and the sound of sirens - constantly shaking and falling to the floor.
The woman remembers how the Russian army came to our peaceful land back in 2014, when she had to leave her home for the first time. Her son Yaroslav was then only 5 years old. So this is the second time she has had to flee and save her children from the deaths of Russian terrorists.
All the way during the evacuation, Zlatko and Lera laughed and told me about their favorite cartoons and toys. I never cease to marvel at the strong and indomitable spirit of Ukrainian children!
